There are two steps involved in the process (once you've connected to the Underground and selected your Thingie). First, you ask your Thingie to create the artwork for you. Second, you need to decide whether you like the artwork enough to mint it as part of the official NFT collection.
It costs one Moon Rock to create an artwork and one Moon Rock to mint it as part of the official collection. Moon Rocks can be purchased from the Underground for $2 each.
They're Sparkenski’s famous Moon Rocks! These tasty snacks are made with the goodness of real mycelium, plus essential vitamins and minerals for a taste your Thingies will love. Feed your Thingie 1 Moon Rock to get their creative juices flowing and have them start painting. Happy with the art? Feed your Thingie 1 more Moon Rock to have your art minted and delivered to your wallet.
You can purchase them from the Underground.
All payments will be in $ASTO at first, the currency that powers Altered State Machine (our sister company that specialises in AI-powered NFTs). The Mycelium token will be a secondary payment option once it launches.
Yes! Interact with the Transfer function in the Underground Store, and you can enter the receiving wallets address and the number of Moon Rocks you'd like to transfer from your connected wallet.
The style of art that your Thingie creates will be determined by its backpack. Furthermore, styles will change over time as we release different stages of utility.
No. A Thingie’s backpack type will determine the types of utility it is capable of producing.
The first stage of utility is unlimited in terms of the number of artworks that can be minted to its collection. But all future stages will be limited edition.
Yes they can.
Yes! If you choose to mint the artwork to the official collection, your Thingie will need to rest for a while. However, if you choose to discard it, your Thingie will be able to create new work immediately.
The rest period will be 1 day after its first mint, 2 days after its second, 4 days after its third. The rest period keeps doubling until it gets to 32 days at which point it is capped forever.
This information is now included in the Underground. Search for the Thingie you want to buy, select it, and then expand the trait list section. You will see how much is left of the current rest period (if the Thingie is resting) and what its next rest period will be.
Yes, if you're desperate for your Thingie to create more art, you will be able to pay to eliminate whatever time is left of the rest period (at a cost of one Moon Rock per day that remains). This feature will become especially useful when a limited edition utility occurs.
There is no time limit to making that decision. But once you choose to mint, you will need to follow through within one week. If you fail to process the mint within the week, the artwork will be automatically discarded.
Yes, you will be able to download a high resolution file of any generated piece of art (the option will exist as part of the process flow). If you're going to discard the artwork, make sure you download it first!
Anywhere you want.
Thingies are only just setting out on their creative journey, with stages of evolving utility planned in the near future. Today, we are at Stage 1, where your Thingies are slowly being roused from their dream state to share sporadic visions of the Dreamlands with you. Stages 2 and 3 will bring even more creative freedom, artistic diversity and exciting utility to your favourite furry artists.
